Section 38-4-12.1 Alabama Veterans' Assistance Fund. (a) There is hereby created in the State Treasury a fund to be known as the Alabama Veterans' Assistance Fund, into which shall be deposited receipts from the one mill ad valorem tax as authorized in Section 38-4-12. The expenditure of all monies deposited into the fund shall be budgeted and allotted pursuant to the Budget Management Act and Article 4 of Title 41. (b) All of the surplus or residue of the one mill tax for the relief of needy Confederate soldiers and sailors and their widows remaining from its appropriation for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1996, shall be transferred and deposited into the Alabama Veterans' Assistance Fund established by subsection (a). (a) The Alabama Public Transportation Trust Fund is created in the State Treasury for the distribution of designated funds appropriated by the Legislature or collected from grants or other sources for the purpose of increasing public transportation options across the State of Alabama. Section 16-16-14 Use of bond proceeds for loans to local boards of education. The proceeds derived from the sale of any bonds issued pursuant to subsection (b) of Section 3 of Act 98-373 shall be deposited in the State Treasury and shall be carried in a separate fund therein for the account of the authority, which shall pay therefrom the expenses of issuance thereof. Section 34-36-17 Funding. There is hereby established a separate fund in the State Treasury to be known as the Alabama Board of Electrical Contractors Fund. Section 16-6D-9 Tax credit claims; administrative accountability; verification of requirements; rules and procedures. (a)(1) An individual taxpayer who files a state income tax return and is not claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer, a taxpayer subject to the corporate income tax levied by Chapter 18 of Title 40, an Alabama S corporation as defined in Section 40-18-160, or a Subchapter K entity as defined in Section 40-18-1 may claim a credit for a contribution made to a scholarship granting organization.
