Section 45-43-244.07 Delinquency in payment of tax. If any distributor, storer, or retail dealer in gasoline or motor fuel shall fail to make monthly reports or shall fail to pay the tax imposed under authority of this part, the tax shall be deemed delinquent within the meaning of this part and there shall be added to the amount of his or her tax a penalty of 25 percent, provided, if in the opinion of the County Commission of Lowndes County a good and sufficient cause or reason is shown for such delinquency, the penalty may be remitted. The Lowndes County Commission shall be authorized and empowered to make returns for delinquent taxpayers upon such information as it may reasonably obtain and add to that the penalty as prescribed by this part. Section 32-8-84 Unclaimed motor vehicles; suspension of registration of stolen or converted vehicles. (a) The following shall be considered an unclaimed motor vehicle: (1) A motor vehicle left unattended on a public road or highway for more than 48 hours. (2) A motor vehicle, not left on private property for repairs, that has remained on private or other public property for a period of more than 48 hours without the consent of the owner or lessee of the property. (3) A motor vehicle, left on private property for repairs, that has not been reclaimed within 48 hours from the latter of either the date the repairs were completed or the agreed upon redemption date. Section 5-25-10 Annual report. (a) Each licensee shall annually, on or before May 1, file a written report with the department containing that information the department may require concerning the licensee's business and operations during the preceding calendar year, including financial statements. (b) Reports shall be made under oath and shall be in the form prescribed by the department.
