Section 40-17-271 Powers and authority of the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue. (a) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this law, the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue is authorized to enter into reciprocal agreements on behalf of this state with the duly authorized representatives of any of the states of the United States, the District of Columbia, or a state or province of a foreign country or a territory or possession of either the United States or a foreign country providing for the uniform administration of motor fuels use taxation laws with respect to motor vehicles operated in multiple member jurisdictions. Section 23-7-6 Funding; pledge of revenues. Section 40-29A-3 Tax amnesty program. (a) The department shall develop and implement a tax amnesty program in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The commissioner may provide by rule as necessary for the administration and implementation of the program. The commissioner shall publicize the program in order to maximize the public awareness of and participation in the program. The commissioner, for purpose of publicizing the program, may contract with any advertising agency within or outside this state and use public service announcements, pamphlets, mail notices, and print, television, and radio announcements. Section 8-17-91 Disposition of funds; overpayments. Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent.
