Section 40-16-1.3 Net income of credit unions. (a) With respect to credit unions only,
net income means financial statement income which is the final net income amount, total revenue
less total expenses, calculated for financial statement purposes and reported to the Internal
Revenue Service as a tax exempt organization and to the Alabama Credit Union Administration
or other government regulatory authority as appropriate, less the subtractions specified in
subsection (b) and as allocated and apportioned to Alabama according to rules adopted by the
Department of Revenue pursuant to Section 40-16-4. (b) Subtractions. The following
items shall be subtracted from financial statement income for purposes of computing the net
income of a credit union under this chapter: (1) Dividends received from other credit unions
and credit union service organizations as defined by federal law and the regulations of the

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby
approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article
I. Purposes. The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state
and local tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of
tax bases and settlement of apportionment disputes. 2. Promote uniformity or compatibility

Section 5-17-8 Reports to Administrator of Alabama Credit Union Administration; powers
of administrator. (a) Credit unions shall report to the Administrator of the Alabama Credit
Union Administration at least annually on or before January 31 in such manner and form as
required by the administrator for that purpose. Additional reports may be required. Credit
unions shall be examined at least every 18 months by employees of the administration or by
other persons designated by the administrator. For failure to file reports when due, unless
excused for cause by the administrator, the credit union shall pay to the State Treasurer

Section 27-21A-2 Establishment of health maintenance organizations. (a) Notwithstanding
any law of this state to the contrary, any person may apply to the commissioner for and obtain
a certificate of authority to establish and operate a health maintenance organization in compliance

finds that the number of students attending the several school systems located in those areas
