Section 22-28-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) AIR POLLUTION. The presence in the outdoor atmosphere of one or more air contaminants in such quantities and duration as are, or tend to be, injurious to human health or welfare, animal or plant life or property or would interfere with the enjoyment of life or property throughout the state and in such territories of the state as shall be affected thereby. (2) AIR CONTAMINANT. Any solid, liquid or gaseous matter, any odor or any combination thereof, from whatever source. (3) COMMISSION. The Alabama Department of Environmental Management. (4) PERSON. Section 29-1-26 Legislative double dipping prohibited. (a) This section shall be known and may be cited as the Legislative Double Dipping Prohibition Act.
