Section 40-12-117 Laundered towel, apron, etc., rentals; diaper services. (a) Each person renting
or supplying laundered towels, aprons, coats, linens or supplying other similar service, except
those persons engaged in the business of renting diapers who do not rent or supply laundered
towels, aprons, coats or linens shall pay the following license tax: In cities of 100,000
inhabitants or over, $50; in cites or towns of 60,000 and less than 100,000 inhabitants, $35;
in cities or towns of 25,000 and less than 60,000 inhabitants, $25; in cities and towns of
10,000 and less than 25,000 inhabitants, $15; and all other places, whether incorporated or
not, $10. This section shall not apply to regular laundries which have paid the license taxes
on laundries levied by this title. (b) Each person furnishing diaper service or laundered
diapers shall pay a license tax of $50 in the county in which he maintains his principal place
of business and shall pay a license tax of $7 in each county...

Section 40-9-19 Homesteads. (a)(1) Homesteads, as defined by the Constitution and laws of Alabama,
are exempt from all state ad valorem taxes. In no case shall the exemption apply to more than
one person or head of the family, nor shall the exemption exceed $4,000 in assessed value
or 160 acres in area for any resident of this state who is not over 65 years of age. (2) The
homesteads of residents of this state, over 65 years of age, or who are retired due to permanent
and total disability, regardless of age, or who are blind as defined in Section 1-1-3, regardless
of age or whether such person is retired, shall be exempt from all state ad valorem taxes.
(3) The state Commissioner of Revenue may define and specify the condition or state of health
that makes a person "permanently and totally disabled" and may issue certificates

to impose upon every person, firm, or corporation who sells, stores, delivers, uses, or otherwise

Section 45-19-241 Annual licensure or privilege fee. (a) This part shall apply only to Coosa
County, Alabama. (b) As used in this section, the following words and terms shall have the
meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1) BUSINESS. All activities engaged in, or caused to

Section 45-37-243.02 Levy of tax. (a) As used in this section, the following terms have the
meanings here given them: (1) COUNTY. Any county now or hereafter subject to this subpart.
