Section 34-24-70 Qualifications of applicants. (a) The following constitute the requirements
for the issuance of a certificate of qualification for a license to practice medicine in this
state: (1) MEDICAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENT. All applicants for a certificate of qualification
shall present a diploma or evidence of graduation from any of the following institutions:
a. A college of medicine or school of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical
Education of the American Medical Association. b. A college of osteopathy accredited by the
American Osteopathic Association. c. A college of medicine or school of medicine not accredited
by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education which is approved by the Board of Medical Examiners.
The board may, within its discretion, withhold approval of any college of medicine not designated

Section 34-30-26 Term; expiration date; renewal; inactive status. (a) All licenses and
certificates under this chapter shall be effective when issued by the State Board of Social
Work Examiners. (b) All licenses and certificates issued by the board shall expire on the
last day of the month in the calendar year that is exactly two years from the calendar year
and month in which the license or certificate is issued. (c) A license or certificate may

Section 34-9-6 What constitutes practice of dentistry. Any person shall be deemed to
be practicing dentistry who does any of the following: (1) Performs, or attempts or professes

Section 34-29-69 Powers of board. The board shall be a body corporate and shall have
the power to do all of the following: (1) Examine and determine the qualifications and fitness

Section 34-9-63 Permit to use parenteral sedation. The issuance of a permit for general
anesthesia shall include the privilege of administering parenteral sedation in accordance
with this section. The issuance of a permit for parenteral sedation shall include the
privilege of administering intravenous sedation. All current intravenous sedation permit holders
are entitled to a parenteral sedation permit subject to the renewal and regulatory provisions
afforded to the Board of Dental Examiners by this chapter. The term parenteral sedation shall

Section 28-7-16 Tax on sale of table wine; disposition of proceeds. (a) Levy. There
is hereby levied in addition to the license taxes provided for by this chapter and municipal
and county license taxes and in addition to any marked-up price made by the board on wine
