Section 32-6-110 Authority and design for distinctive plates. In recognition of the many and varied patriotic services rendered the state and the citizens thereof by the National Guard and Air National Guard of Alabama, members thereof, including both enlisted and officer personnel, may, upon application and subject to the provisions of this division, be issued annually distinctive motor vehicle license plates identifying these persons with such organizations. The distinctive plates so issued members of these organizations shall be of such color and design as may be agreed upon by the Adjutant General and the Commissioner of Revenue and shall bear the words "National Guard" and need not bear prefixed numbers identifying the county of issuance. Section 32-6-213 Probate judge or county official may issue temporary tags and certificates.
