Section 45-39-245.41 Authorization of levy of sales tax. (a) The governing body of the county
is hereby authorized to levy and impose in the county, in addition to all other taxes of every
kind now imposed by law, and to collect as herein provided, a privilege or license tax upon
every person, firm, or corporation, including the State of Alabama and its Alcoholic Beverage
Control Board in the sale of alcoholic beverages of all kinds, the University of Alabama,
Auburn University, and all other institutions of higher learning in the state, whether such
institutions be denominational, state, county, or municipal institutions, and any association

companies. (a) No license or privilege tax or other charge for the privilege of doing business
shall be imposed by any municipal corporation upon any insurance company, other than fire

section and Section 28-3A-6, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) NONPROFIT

Section 11-49B-22 Taxes; exemptions; reporting credit sales; lien security; state sales tax

(a)(1) The State Board of Medical Examiners on its own motion may investigate any evidence
which appears to show that a physician or osteopath holding a certificate of qualification
to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama is or may be guilty of any of the
acts, offenses, or conditions set out in Section 34-24-360. As part of its investigation,
the board may require a criminal history background check of the physician or osteopath. In
such event, the physician or osteopath shall submit a complete set of fingerprints to the
State Board of Medical Examiners. The board shall submit the fingerprints provided by the

business sale or a distress merchandise sale shall file an application with the judge of probate
of the county in which such sale shall be held at least 30 days prior to such sale; provided,
