Section 45-47-245 Levy of tax. (a) There is hereby imposed upon every person, firm, or corporation who sells, stores, delivers, uses, or otherwise consumes tobacco or certain tobacco products in Marion County a county privilege, license, or excise tax up to the following amounts: (1) Four cents ($.04) for each package of cigarettes, made of tobacco or any substitute therefor. (2) Four cents ($.04) for each cigar of any description made of tobacco or any substitute therefor, except little cigars, such as Winchester cigars or cigarellos, which are similar to and which are packaged in the same manner as cigarettes, shall be taxed as cigarettes under subdivision (1). Section 2-22-5 Licenses for sale of commercial fertilizer. (a) Before any person sells or offers for sale any commercial fertilizer in this state for use herein or before any person sells such fertilizer for importation into this state for use herein where such person is required to comply with the labeling requirements of Section 2-22-7, such person shall apply for and obtain from the commissioner a license authorizing the sale of commercial fertilizer. The application for a license shall be accompanied by the fee required by subsection (b) of this section and shall be on forms furnished by the commissioner, which forms shall contain certain information as is necessary for the issuance of the license.
