Section 40-17-348 Monthly informational report of motor fuel transporter. (a) A person licensed as a motor fuel transporter in this state shall file a monthly informational report with the department on forms prescribed and furnished by the department concerning the amount of motor fuel received or delivered for import or export by the motor fuel transporter during the month. (b) The report required by this section is due by the last day of the month following the month covered by the report. (c) Any transporter failing to make the reports required by this section shall be subject to a civil penalty of one thousand dollars ($1,000) for each violation, as reasonably determined by the department. Section 45-37-244.01 Automobile rental tax. (a) In Jefferson County, in addition to all other taxes imposed by law, there is hereby levied an additional privilege or license tax, in the amount hereinafter prescribed against any person, organization, or other entity engaging or continuing in the county in the business of leasing or renting any passenger automotive vehicle, the duration of the lease being not more than one year. (a) Each manufacturer or distributor of agricultural liming materials shall report monthly to the commissioner, at the end of each month, on forms provided by the commissioner, his or her gross sales in tons of such materials sold in the State of Alabama for that month accompanied by a per ton inspection fee based on tons sold during such month.
