Section 45-43-246.07 Applicability of state provisions. All provisions of the state sales tax
statutes with respect to payment, assessment, and collection of the state sales tax, making
of reports and keeping and preserving records with respect thereto, interest after due date
of tax, penalties for failure to pay tax, make reports, or otherwise comply with the state
sales tax statutes, the promulgation of rules and regulations with respect to the state sales
tax, and the administration and enforcement of the state sales tax statutes, which are not
inconsistent with this subpart when applied to the tax levied pursuant to Section 45-43-246.01,

provisions of this chapter shall be applicable to so much of the estates of nonresident decedents
as is subject to estate tax under the act of Congress in effect at the time of the death of

Section 40-23-50 Tax levied; collection and enforcement. (a) There is hereby levied, in addition
to all other taxes of every kind now imposed by law, and shall be collected, as herein provided,
a privilege or license tax against the person on account of the business activities engaged

Section 45-12-241.01 Privilege license tax for mandatory solid waste disposal program. (a)
This section shall only apply to Choctaw County. (b) As used in this section, state sales
and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but
not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62,
and 40-23-63 of the Code of Alabama 1975. (c) The County Commission of Choctaw County may

Commission of Henry County to enforce this part upon its imposing the tax thereunder, and
it shall have the right itself, or its members or its agents, to examine the books, reports,

Section 40-7-1 Authority of tax assessor; duties of taxpayer. (a) The tax assessor or other
assessing official in each of the several counties shall have the right and authority to assess
all real estate, together with improvements thereon, and all personal property to the
party last assessing the same, or to the owner of record, except such real estate and personal
