Section 45-10-244.02 Authorization of levy of use tax. (a) The governing body of the
county is hereby authorized to levy and impose excise taxes on the storage, use, or other
consumption of property in the county as hereinafter provided in this section: (1)

Section 45-3-140.03 Fire protection service fee - Levy; definitions; exemption. (a)
There is levied on the owner of each residence or dwelling in Barbour County, a fire protection
service fee of thirty dollars ($30) per year and on each commercial business at a specified
location, a fire protection service fee of seventy-five dollars ($75) per year. (b) For purposes

only the net amounts estimated to be received from or to be appropriated to each public utility.
The general fund budget shall be prepared in accordance with accepted principles of municipal

Section 45-3-245 Levy of tax; collection and enforcement; disposition of funds. (a)
This section shall only apply to Barbour County. (b) As used in this section,
state sales and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes including,
