Section 45-42-163 Distribution of payments. Upon receipt by Limestone County of funds pursuant to Chapter 28, Title 40, as amended, Limestone County, within a reasonable time thereafter, shall distribute the funds so received as follows: (1) Effective through September 30, 2006, all funds shall be distributed as prescribed by Act 86-550, 1986 Regular Session (Acts 1986, p. 1124). (2) Effective October 1, 2007, and thereafter, the funds shall be distributed as follows: a. Before the percentage formula of distribution contained in paragraph b. is applied, the sum of two hundred ninety-three thousand dollars ($293,000) shall be distributed in the following manner: 1. Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to Auburn University to be used exclusively for the benefit of the Limestone County Cooperative Extension Service. 2. Section 41-23-213 Grant program; rulemaking authority; Alabama Broadband Accessibility Fund. (a) The Director of ADECA may establish and administer the broadband accessibility grant program for the purpose of promoting the deployment and adoption of broadband Internet access services to unserved areas. By June 26, 2018, the director shall adopt rules and policies to administer the program and begin to accept applications for grants, and shall adopt such rules as may be necessary to meet the future needs of the grant program. (b) The program shall be administered pursuant to policies developed by ADECA in compliance with this article. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. Section 41-10-626 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time to time to sell and issue its bonds in limited amounts and for the purpose of promoting economic development and industrial recruitment as specified by the Legislature from time to time by separate act, provided that refunding bonds may be issued by the authority pursuant to Section 41-10-627 without first obtaining separate authorization from the Legislature.
