Section 45-37-243.02 Levy of tax. (a) As used in this section, the following terms have the meanings here given them: (1) COUNTY. Any county now or hereafter subject to this subpart. (2) COUNTY GOVERNING BODY. The county board of revenue, the county commission, or other like body of the county. (3) DIRECTOR OF COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE. The director of the county department of revenue, the license commissioner, or judge of probate of the county, or any other public officer performing like duties in the county. Upon the payment of the amount required by law for the redemption of the lands sold for taxes by a person entitled to redeem, the judge of probate, or official who performs the same function, shall issue that person a certificate of redemption describing the lands, setting forth the facts of the sale substantially as contained in the certificate of purchase, the date of redemption, the amount paid, by whom the lands were redeemed, and make the proper entries in the book of sales in his or her office and immediately give notice of the redemption to the county treasurer or custodian of the county funds. Section 8-32-3 Requirements for selling or offering to sell service contracts. (a) Either the provider or its designee shall: (1) Provide a receipt for, or other written evidence of, the purchase of the service contract to the contract holder. (2) Provide a copy of the service contract to the service contract holder within a reasonable period of time from the date of purchase.
