Section 40-12-255 Manufactured homes. (a) Every person, firm, or corporation who owns, maintains or keeps in this state a manufactured home as defined according to subsection (n) of this section, except a manufactured home that constitutes a part of the inventory of a manufacturer or dealer, shall pay an annual registration fee of $24 for an owner occupied single wide (one transportable module) manufactured home, $48 for an owner occupied double wide or larger (two or more transportable modules) manufactured home, $48 for a commercial single wide (one transportable module) manufactured home, or $96 for a commercial double wide or larger (two or more transportable modules) manufactured home, provided, however, that any manufactured home 10 years of age or greater but less than 20 years of age shall pay 75 percent of the above stated fees, and any manufactured home 20 years of age or greater shall pay 50 percent of the above stated fees; and upon payment thereof such owner shall be...

Section 40-12-260 Transfer of license plates; registration procedures; receipts; penalty. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, license plates, except for license plates issued under the provisions of Section 40-12-290, et seq., or any subsequent enactment which authorizes special license plates based on vehicle age, shall not be transferable between motor vehicle owners and the following registration procedures shall apply: (1) When a current and valid Alabama motor vehicle license plate has been obtained for the current tax year for use on a motor vehicle and the vehicle has been sold or otherwise transferred to a new owner, the license plate shall be removed from the vehicle and retained by the original plate owner. Section 34-24-337 Renewal of certificate; reinstatement of license. (a) Renewal of license. Every person licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama shall, on or before December 31 of each succeeding year, apply to the commission for renewal of a certificate of registration which shall be effective during the next calendar year. All new licenses issued by the commission, upon application, shall be registered by the commission at the time of issuance, and a certificate of registration, which shall be effective until and including the following December 31, shall be issued to the licensee.
