Section 40-29-23.1 Development and operation of financial institution data match program. (a) For purposes of this section the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACCOUNT. A demand deposit account, checking account, negotiable withdrawal order account, savings account, time deposit account, or money-market mutual fund account. (2) ACCOUNT HOLDER. A person or persons authorized to perform transactions on behalf of an account. (3) DELINQUENT TAXPAYER. A taxpayer with an outstanding tax liability for which a final assessment has been entered that is no longer subject to appeal under the Alabama Taxpayer's Bill of Rights, so that the assessment is final, due, and owing, and for whom both of the following conditions are true: a. The tax liability remains unpaid after 10 days from the issuance of a final notice before seizure by the department. b. The person is not making current timely installment payments on the tax liability under agreement with the department. (4)...

Section 45-26-246.02 Monthly report; recordkeeping; penalties. (a) The tax levied by this part, except as otherwise provided, shall be due and payable to Elmore County on or before the 20th day of the month next succeeding the month in which the tax accrues. Notwithstanding any provision of this part providing for the responsibility of the county to collect and administer the tax provided in this part, the county may contract with an agent to perform all or any part of its duties pursuant to this part. Section 16-6D-8 Tax credits; Failing Schools Income Tax Credit Account. (a) To provide educational flexibility and state accountability for students in failing schools: (1) For tax years beginning on and after January 1, 2013, an Alabama income tax credit is made available to the parent of a student enrolled in or assigned to attend a failing school to help offset the cost of transferring the student to a nonfailing public school or nonpublic school of the parent's choice. Section 40-2A-11 Civil penalties levied in addition to other penalties provided by law. (a) Failure to timely file return.
