Section 40-13-61 Violations; penalties. (a) Any person required by this article to make a return, pay a tax, keep records, or furnish information deemed necessary by the commissioner or the computation, assessment, or collection of the tax imposed by this article, who fails to make the return, pay the tax, keep the records, or furnish the information at the time required by law or regulation, in addition to other penalties provided by law, shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished as provided by law. Section 45-25-243 Lodging tax levied. (a) In DeKalb County, in addition to all other taxes imposed by law, there is levied a privilege or license tax in the amount herein prescribed against every person within the county engaging in the business of renting or furnishing a room or rooms, lodging or accommodations, to a transient in a hotel, motel, inn, condominium, house, tourist court, or another place in which rooms, lodgings, or accommodations are regularly furnished to transients for a consideration. (a) Any Class 3 municipality may initiate an expedited quiet title and foreclosure action under this section against a parcel of tax sale property located within its municipal limits and purchased by the municipality from the State Land Commissioner. Section 22-35-5 Fee; withdrawals; disposition of funds; liability for clean-up costs; audit. (a) Every owner of an underground or aboveground storage tank as defined in this chapter shall pay an Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee as established by the provisions of this chapter to be paid to the department. During the first year next following October 1, 1988, the amount of the annual Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100).
