Section 38-4-9 Hospitalization of incapacitated applicants and recipients of old age pensions. In the event an applicant or recipient of an old age pension under this chapter is so physically incapacitated that it is necessary for him to be hospitalized, the county department is authorized to endeavor to make such arrangements as are necessary to secure such hospitalization, even though the amount to be expended exceeds the maximum assistance grant for which federal matching is available.
