Section 30-3-4.2 Grandparent visitation. (a) For the purposes of this section,
the following words have the following meanings: (1) GRANDPARENT. The parent of a parent,
whether the relationship is created biologically or by adoption. (2) HARM. A finding by the
court, by clear and convincing evidence, that without court-ordered visitation by the grandparent,
the child's emotional, mental, or physical well-being has been, could reasonably be, or would
be jeopardized. (b) A grandparent may file an original action in a circuit court where his
or her grandchild resides or any other court exercising jurisdiction with respect to the grandchild
or file a motion to intervene in any action when any court in this state has before it any
issue concerning custody of the grandchild, including a domestic relations proceeding involving
the parent or parents of the grandchild, for reasonable visitation rights with respect to

Section 12-25-32 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms
have the following meanings: (1) COMMISSION. The Alabama Sentencing Commission, established
as a state agency under the Supreme Court by this chapter. (2) CONTINUUM OF PUNISHMENTS. An

Section 16-64-4 Tuition rates for nonresident; resident tuition rates for students residing
in counties within 50 miles of campus; tuition rates for distance programs. (a) Each Alabama
public institution of higher education shall charge each undergraduate student who is registered

Section 16-6D-8 Tax credits; Failing Schools Income Tax Credit Account. (a) To provide
educational flexibility and state accountability for students in failing schools: (1) For
tax years beginning on and after January 1, 2013, an Alabama income tax credit is made available
to the parent of a student enrolled in or assigned to attend a failing school to help offset
the cost of transferring the student to a nonfailing public school or nonpublic school of
