Section 38-13-2 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) ADULT. An individual 19 years of age and older. (2) ADULT CARE FACILITY. A person or entity holding a Department of Human Resources license or approval or certification to provide care, including foster care, for adults. (3) APPLICANT. A person or entity who submits an application for license as a child care or adult care facility to the Department of Human Resources or a child placing agency, or an application for employment or for a volunteer position to a Department of Human Resources licensed child care or adult care facility. With regard to child care and adult care facilities in a home setting, the term includes an adult household member whose residence is in the home. Section 26-10-26 Subsidies - Report; modification of subsidy; review; duration of subsidy. (a)(1) The department may require the adoptive parent or parents to submit a report, annually or at a time or times specified in the agreement or when the department is investigating an allegation of improperly received benefits. The parent shall state in the report that the child remains under their care and any change in the conditions or circumstances of the adopting parent or the needs of the child. The subsidy agreement shall continue according to its terms, except as provided by this article. Section 12-15-215 Disposition of delinquent children or children in need of supervision generally. (a) If the juvenile court finds on proof beyond a reasonable doubt, based upon competent, material, and relevant evidence, that a child committed the acts by reason of which the child is alleged to be delinquent or in need of supervision, it may proceed immediately to hear evidence as to whether the child is in need of care or rehabilitation and to file its findings thereon. It is the legislative intent to implement an effective statewide bicycle safety education program to reduce disability and death resulting from improper or unsafe bicycle operation. Violations of Section 32-5A-283 shall be handled in the following manner: (1) On the first offense, the police officer shall counsel and provide written information to the child relative to bicycle helmet safety.
