Section 22-21-260 Definitions. As used in this article, the following words and terms,
and the plurals thereof, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section,
unless otherwise required by their respective context: (1) ACQUISITION. Obtaining the legal
equitable title to a freehold or leasehold estate or otherwise obtaining the substantial benefit
of such titles or estates, whether by purchase, lease, loan or suffrage, gift, devise, legacy,
settlement of a trust or means whatever, and shall include any act of acquisition. The term
"acquisition" shall not mean or include any conveyance, or creation of any lien
or security interest by mortgage, deed of trust, security agreement, or similar financing

Section 9-8A-1 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and
others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, in the absence of clear implication
herein otherwise, have the following respective meanings: (1) ALLOCATED FUNDS. That portion

Section 19-3B-802 Duty of loyalty. (a) A trustee shall administer the trust solely in

Section 25-4-51 Rates of contributions, etc., by employers. (a) Contributions. Except
as hereinafter provided and subject to the provisions of Section 25-4-54, every employer
shall pay contributions, or payments in lieu of contributions, equal to the percentages of
wages payable or paid as hereinafter set out, with respect to employment by him. (1) With

Interstate Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact
is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein
in form substantially as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public
through verification of competency and ensure accountability for patient care related activities
all states license emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians
(EMTs), advanced EMTs and paramedics. This Compact is intended to facilitate the day to day
movement of EMS personnel across state boundaries in the performance of their EMS duties as
assigned by an appropriate authority and authorize state EMS offices to afford immediate legal

Section 45-36-162 Distribution of payments. (a) Any payments coming into the treasury
of Jackson County that are derived, directly or indirectly, from payments by the Tennessee
Valley Authority in lieu of payment of taxes shall be appropriated as follows: (1) One percent
to the Jackson County Economic Development Fund paid to the fund monthly until it reaches
a balance of one million dollars ($1,000,000); the payments shall continue whenever the balance
in the fund drops below one million dollars ($1,000,000). The county commission may invest

Section 11-65-36 Application of net commission revenues. All commission horse wagering
fees, commission greyhound wagering fees, and other fees, commissions, and moneys, including
