Section 13A-9-150 Public assistance fraud; penalties. (a) For the purposes of this section,
public assistance means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons
through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof,
including any program administered by a public housing authority. (b) It shall be unlawful
for an individual or business entity to knowingly do any of the following: (1) Fail, by false
statement, misrepresentation, impersonation, or other fraudulent means, to disclose a material
fact used in making a determination as to the qualification of the person to receive public
assistance. (2) Fail to disclose a change in circumstances in order to obtain or continue
to receive any public assistance to which he or she is not entitled or in an amount larger

Section 27-31B-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have

Section 11-62-3 Application for authority to form corporation; adoption of resolution
by governing body authorizing incorporation; execution, acknowledgement, filing, recordation

Section 45-13-20 Municipal option election for legalization of sale and distribution
of alcoholic beverages. (a)(1) The Legislature of Alabama is cognizant of "Opinion of
the Justices No. 376," issued April 9, 2002, which states that a local bill for Cherokee
County "purporting to allow by local law the creation of a traffic in alcohol that does
not presently exist in smaller municipalities in Cherokee County, does not fit within the
ambit of the last paragraph of Section 104 permitting the Legislature to pass local

Section 7-8-202 Issuer's responsibility and defenses; notice of defect or defense. (a)
Even against a purchaser for value and without notice, the terms of a certificated security
include terms stated on the certificate and terms made part of the security by reference on
the certificate to another instrument, indenture, or document or to a constitution, statute,
ordinance, rule, regulation, order, or the like, to the extent the terms referred to do not

Section 45-37-123.103 Death benefits. (a) Preretirement death benefits. A vested member's
beneficiary is entitled to a preretirement joint survivorship pension, as described below.
(1) MARRIED MEMBER. If a married, active member dies, then the beneficiary may elect, on a
