Section 37-14-12 Judicial determination of legality, etc., of article - Contents of complaint;
order and notice of hearing to show cause; intervention. (a) The complaint by appropriate
allegations, references and/or exhibits shall briefly state the following: the authority for
the purchase and sale of distribution facilities and other transactions and restrictions under
this article; the nature of any franchise heretofore issued by a municipality which will be

Section 37-2-17 Penalty for excessive rates. (a) If any transportation company doing business
in this state or its agents or employees are guilty of making or demanding or receiving any
charge for the transportation of persons or property, or for any service pertaining to or
connected therewith, in excess of that prescribed by the Public Service Commission as by this
chapter authorized, and after due notice of such violation given to the president or managing
officer or any superintendent thereof in this state, and if ample and full recompense for
the wrong or injury thereby to any person, firm, company, or corporation shall not be made
within 60 days from the time of such notice, such transportation company shall forfeit for
each offense the sum of not less than $50.00 nor more than $1,000.00, to be fixed by the court.

Section 2-8-281 Collection of assessments; deductions for expenses. In the event the required
number of catfish producers approve by a referendum as provided in this article the levying
of an assessment upon the sale of catfish feed for a promotional program, the Commissioner
of Agriculture and Industries shall within 30 days, notify in writing every person licensed
to sell or distribute catfish feed under authority of Section 2-21-19, that on or after the
date designated in the notice, which shall be not less than 30 nor more than 60 days after
the mailing of the notice by the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, the amount of

Section 40-9-60 Certificates of exemption for persons or companies exempt from sales, use,
and lodging taxes. (a) All persons or companies, including, but not limited to, those cited
in this chapter, other than governmental entities, which have statutory exemption from the
