privilege or license tax against the person on account of the business activities and in the
amount to be determined by the application of rates against gross sales, or gross receipts,

Section 37-13-13 Bonds of authority - Security. In the discretion of the authority any bonds
may be issued under and secured by an indenture between the authority and a trustee. Said
trustee may be a private person or corporation, including (but not limited to) any trust company
or bank having trust powers, whether such bank or trust company is located within or without

Section 37-3-23 Bills of lading. Every common carrier by motor vehicle subject to the provisions
of this chapter receiving property for transportation originating and terminating in this
state shall issue to the shipper a receipt or bill of lading therefor and shall be liable
as a common carrier under the laws of this state to the lawful holder thereof for any loss,
damage or injury to such property caused by it; and no contract, stipulation, receipt,
rule or regulation contained in said receipt or bill of lading, or otherwise, shall exempt

or individual subject to this chapter to: (1) Obtain property by intentional fraud or intentional

Section 22-30D-3 Definitions. Unless otherwise defined in this chapter, the definitions of
