Section 11-32-7 Powers of authority. (a) The authority shall exercise powers and duties necessary to the discharge of its powers and duties in corporate form as follows: (1) Have succession by its corporate name in perpetuity subject to Section 11-32-20. (2) Sue and be sued in its own name in civil suits and actions and defend suits against it. (3) Adopt and make use of a corporate seal and alter the same at its pleasure. (4) Adopt and alter bylaws for the regulation and conduct of its affairs and business. (a) Except as provided in subsection (d), members of a governmental body as defined in Section 36-25A-2, that is comprised of members from two or more counties, may participate in a meeting of that governmental body by means of telephone conference, video conference, or other similar communications equipment which allows all persons participating in the meeting to hear each other at the same time. Section 22-18-4 Fees of licenses; disposition of funds; qualifications for EMSP licensure. (a) In addition to all other fees now payable, the Board of Health shall establish, by rule, a fee for EMSP and air or ground provider service licenses. Each license issued to an EMSP shall be valid for a period of 24 calendar months. Each license issued to a provider service shall be valid for a period not to exceed 12 calendar months.
