Section 36-6-51 Inapplicability to employees covered by labor agreement or contract, or to certain judges. This division shall not apply to any Merit System employee or hourly employee whose service or rate of pay is covered by any labor agreement or contract, nor shall this division apply to a state judge whose salary is payable from the State Treasury if the salary of the judge is increased under and by virtue of any of the following: (1) The recommendations contained in the report of the Judicial Compensation Commission to the 1998 Regular Session of the Legislature becoming law.
