Section 45-42-162.17 Transition. (a) The transition period shall be directed by the provisions contained herein. The level of services during transition shall not be below the level of service previously provided by the respective government. (b)(1) Not later than six months after assuming office, the commission shall adopt a plan for the reorganization of service operations on a countywide basis, so that the general service district shall receive services, (including, but not limited to: streets and roads, refuse disposal, police, parks, and recreation), which are customarily furnished by a county government in a metropolitan area, and the urban service district shall receive services, (including, but not limited to: additional police protection, additional transportation, street lighting, and street cleaning) which are customarily furnished by a city in a metropolitan area. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. Section 36-27-170 Participation in plan. (a) As governed by this subsection, there exists as a part of this retirement system, an optional account known as the Deferred Retirement Option Plan, which may be cited as "DROP." Section 5-17-8 Reports to Administrator of Alabama Credit Union Administration; powers of administrator. (a) Credit unions shall report to the Administrator of the Alabama Credit Union Administration at least annually on or before January 31 in such manner and form as required by the administrator for that purpose.
