Section 45-49-230.02 Salaries - Pay plan. (a)(1)a. The repeal of Acts 1976, No. 710, 1976 Regular Session (Acts 1976, p. 990), as amended, will not result in any financial loss for any deputy sheriff of any rank or grade, or both. b. This subsection shall include actual range and step for every position. c. Deputies shall receive 50 percent of the state trooper pay adjustment as of October 1, 1981, for each pay period retroactive to October 1, 1981, through pay period ending April 23, 1982. d. The new pay range shall be effective with the pay period beginning April 24, 1982. e. In converting from the State Trooper Pay Plan to the Mobile County Personnel Board Pay Plan, any deputy sheriff of any rank or grade whose adjusted pay falls between steps of the Mobile County Personnel Board Pay Plan shall advance to the next highest step of that pay plan. (a) An official court reporter shall be paid a salary by the state in an amount as shall be established by law, to be paid as other state employees are paid. (b)(1) In addition to the salary paid by the state, each official court reporter shall be paid a salary by the counties composing the circuit in an amount as shall be established by law. (2) In circuits composed of more than one county, each county shall pay its pro rata part thereof, based on the assessed tax valuation of all property in the county for the preceding year.
