Section 36-15-4.1 Grants, other sources of funds. (a) For the purpose of performing any functions, duties or responsibilities of the office of the Attorney General or for the purpose of implementing any provision of this act the Attorney General may receive, accept, expend or utilize any and all money or property of whatever nature, kind or description which may now or hereafter be available to the Attorney General for such purposes. (b) The Attorney General may receive, accept, utilize, expend and administer any grants, gifts, donations, reimbursements or fees from any public, quasi-public or private source. All revenues collected under the provisions of this article, except as otherwise provided, shall be paid to the Department of Revenue by check or draft made payable to the Treasurer of Alabama, and shall be distributed in the following manner: (1) All of the revenue derived from the tax levied upon cigarettes by Sections 40-25-2 and 40-25-41 shall be deposited in the State Treasury and 38.82 percent of such revenue shall be divided as follows: a. Section 40-9F-38 Historic Tax Credit Evaluating Committee. (a) There is hereby established the Historic Tax Credit Evaluating Committee, which shall review qualifying projects, approve credits for projects, and rank projects in the order in which the projects should receive tax credit reservations based on criteria established by the commission. The commission shall establish a review cycle for the committee beginning on January 1, 2018, provided that the committee shall meet at least quarterly unless no credits remain to be allocated. Section 9-3-5 State forester. It shall be the duty of the Alabama Forestry Commission to appoint with the advice and consent of the Governor a State Forester who shall serve as the executive secretary and administrative officer for the commission.
