Section 2-3-24 State Farmers' Market Committee - Creation; composition. To assist and advise
the Board of Agriculture and Industries in carrying out its responsibilities prescribed in
this article, there is hereby created the State Farmers' Market Committee, which shall consist
of seven members as follows: (1) The Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, or at his
discretion, a full-time employee of the state Department of Agriculture and Industries. (2)

Section 34-24-310 Created; composition; appointment of members; terms of office; public members.
(a) There is created the Medical Licensure Commission composed of seven physicians, each of
whom shall be either a doctor of medicine or a doctor of osteopathy and be licensed to practice
medicine or osteopathy in this state. The members of the commission shall be appointed as
follows: Two physicians shall be appointed by the Lieutenant Governor; two physicians shall
be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and the remaining three physicians

Section 37-1-11 Salaries and expense allowances of commissioners. Subject to the provisions
of this section, the President of the Public Service Commission and each of the Associate
Commissioners of the Public Service Commission shall continue to receive the annual salary
and the monthly expense allowance in the amount set by law on April 25, 1994. Effective at
the beginning of the next term of office of any member of the commission, the President of
the Public Service Commission shall receive a salary of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000)
per year and the Associate Commissioners of the Public Service Commission shall receive a

Section 24-6-3 Advisory board. (a) The advisory board of the commission shall be composed of
nine advisory only members, each of whom shall have been a resident of Alabama for at least

Section 37-15-10.1 Underground Damage Prevention Authority. (a) The Underground Damage Prevention
Authority is created for the purpose of enforcing this chapter and for reviewing penalty provisions
and the adequacy of the enforcement process. It is the intent of the Legislature that the
authority and its enforcement activities not be funded by appropriations from the state budget.
(b) The authority shall utilize the services of the Alabama Public Service Commission to provide
administrative support for the authority, subject to the concurrence by the authority board.
The Public Service Commission shall charge the expenses associated with the administrative
duties of the authority back to the authority, subject to the concurrence of the authority
