Section 36-27-12.1 Transfer of service credits, etc., from Judicial Retirement Fund.
(a) Any member of the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System, who, not more than one year
prior to becoming a member of the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System, was a member
of the Judicial Retirement Fund, may elect to transfer to the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement
System, his or her creditable service and accumulated contributions, including the contributions
of the employer, in the Judicial Retirement Fund, as provided in this section. (b)
Any member desiring to transfer the creditable service and contributions shall, after becoming
a member of the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System, notify the Board of Control of
the system, of his or her election to transfer the creditable service and, shall authorize
transfer of the amount of his or her accumulated contributions to his or her credit in the

Section 36-27-21.3 Cost-of-living increases; funding. (a) There is hereby provided,
commencing October 1, 1982, to any person retired prior to October 1, 1981, under the Teachers'

as meaning and referring to any institution of learning supported wholly by public funds,
