Section 10A-30-2.10 Appointment of a provisional director in certain cases; applicable to corporations
formed as close corporations or electing close corporation status prior to January, 1 1995.
(a) Notwithstanding any contrary provision of the governing documents or agreement of the
shareholders, the circuit court of the county in which the registered office of the corporation
is located may appoint a provisional director for a close corporation if the directors are
so divided respecting the management of the corporation's business and affairs that the votes
required for action by the board of directors cannot be obtained with the consequence that
the business and affairs of the corporation can no longer be conducted to the advantage of

Section 36-21-14 Communications by emergency responders with peer support members. (a) As used
in this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) CERTIFIED PEER
SUPPORT MEMBER. A law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, emergency dispatcher, emergency

Section 36-26-21 Working test period for employees; removal during test period; notification
as to continuation of employee in position prior to expiration of test period; restoration
to eligibility, etc., list of employees removed during or at expiration of test period. (a)
Every person appointed to a position in the classified service after certification of his
name from a promotion list or an employment list shall be tested by a working test while occupying

Section 45-49-120.18 Working test period. (a) Entry level or initial employment, or both. (1)
Every person appointed to an initial position with each jurisdiction for entry into the classified
service is a probationary employee with that jurisdiction, and shall be tested by a working
test while occupying the position. The period of the working test shall commence immediately

Section 31-9A-5 Director of Homeland Security. (a) The position of Director of Homeland Security
is created. The director shall be the head of the department. The director shall be appointed
by and hold office at the pleasure of the Governor and shall be subject to confirmation by

in any position in the service of the county, it shall be filled by appointment of one of
the three persons who rank highest on the appropriate eligible register of the board or by
