Section 45-37-230.01 Subsistence allowance for certain law enforcement officers. (a) Any nonelected law enforcement officer, including the sheriff's executive assistant, who is employed by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department on a full-time basis, shall receive a subsistence allowance of eight dollars for each working day of a pay period while engaged in the performance of his or her duties as a law enforcement officer. This allowance shall be in addition to all other compensation, expenses, and allowance provided for such officers. Section 15-13-152 Qualification for property bail. The qualifications for property bail are that each surety be a resident of the state, and an owner of real property therein, and that any property pledged shall be worth, exclusive of all encumbrances and homestead exemptions presently against the property, the amount expressed in the appearance bond.
