Section 41-5A-5 Chief examiner - Powers and duties generally. (a) The chief examiner shall be the executive and administrative head of the department and shall have the power and duty to do all of the following subject to review and oversight by the Legislative Committee on Public Accounts: (1) Exercise general supervision of and make regulations for the governance of the department. Section 45-4-111 Electronic voting system authorized; requirements for use. (a) As used in this section: (1) "Automatic tabulating equipment" shall mean apparatus which automatically examines and counts votes recorded on paper ballots or ballot cards and tabulates the results. The following words and phrases when used in this title, for the purpose of this title, shall have meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except when the context otherwise requires: (1) ALLEY. (a) The Legislature finds that the City of Hueytown has annexed a substantial portion of the Virginia Volunteer Fire District and desires to annex the remaining portion of the district pursuant to the procedures established in this section.
