Section 36-14-7 Disposal of certain books, acts, codes, etc. - List of books to be filed with Governor; returns and payments to Director of Finance. The Secretary of State must, at the commencement of his term of office, file in the Governor's office a list of such books as come into his possession for sale and must, at the end of every quarter of such term, return to the Director of Finance a certified statement showing the number and description of books sold and the amount of money received therefor at prices fixed upon such books and pay the same to the Treasury for the use of the state. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. Section 36-17-3 Duties generally. The powers, functions, and duties of the Treasurer shall be: (1) To receive all moneys due the state and deposit them in the proper accounts.
