Section 36-17-6 Settlement of accounts and delivery of books, etc., on removal or resignation. If the Treasurer resigns or is removed, he must immediately after such resignation or removal deliver the books, papers and money belonging to the treasury to his successor, taking a receipt therefor, and must, within 10 days after resignation or removal, state his account, and the Department of Finance must record and file in his office a statement of such settlement and receipt and report the same to the next session of the Legislature. Section 41-4-12 Use of funds in sinking fund - Purchase of state bonds in lieu of use of sinking fund; cancellation and destruction of bonds purchased.
