Section 45-42-11 Salaries; expense allowances. (a)(1) The following officers of Limestone County shall receive the following annual salaries to be paid from county funds in equal monthly installments: a. Chair, county commission $19,200 b. County commission members $13,200 c. Judge of probate $17,500 d. Tax assessor $15,700 e. Tax collector $15,700 f. Sheriff $19,000 g. Coroner $2,500 (2) Such salaries shall be in lieu of all other compensation heretofore provided by law and all fees, commissions, percentages, and other charges heretofore collected for the use of any of the above officers shall be collected and paid into the general fund of the county. (a)(1) Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 40-28-2, Madison County's share of payments made by the Tennessee Valley Authority to the state in lieu of ad valorem taxes shall be distributed in the following manner: (1) Up to one percent of such payments each year shall be used to establish, equip, and maintain a legislative delegation office. Section 36-18-32 DNA Database Fund. (a) There is hereby established a special fund to be known as the Alabama DNA Database Fund. (b) The fund shall be placed under the management or administration of the Director of the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for the exclusive purposes of implementing the provisions of this article.
