Section 36-15-21.1 Notification of actions against state entities; maintenance of information.
(a) Any laws to the contrary notwithstanding, whenever any litigation is instituted against
any state department, division, board, bureau, commission, agency, institution, or officer
or employee in their official or individual capacity relating to their official duties, such
entity shall promptly notify the office of the Attorney General of the action. This notification
shall include a description of the controversy, the relief sought, and other information the
Attorney General deems necessary. (b) This information shall be maintained in a central location

Section 8-38-9 Violations of notification requirements. (a) A violation of the notification
provisions of this chapter is an unlawful trade practice under the Alabama Deceptive Trade
Practices Act, Chapter 19 of this title, but does not constitute a criminal offense under
Section 8-19-12. The Attorney General shall have the exclusive authority to bring an
action for civil penalties under this chapter. (1) A violation of this chapter does not establish
a private cause of action under Section 8-19-10. Nothing in this chapter may otherwise
be construed to affect any right a person may have at common law, by statute, or otherwise.
(2) Any covered entity or third-party agent who is knowingly engaging in or has knowingly
engaged in a violation of the notification provisions of this chapter is subject to the penalty

Interstate Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact
is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein
in form substantially as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public
through verification of competency and ensure accountability for patient care related activities
all states license emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians
(EMTs), advanced EMTs and paramedics. This Compact is intended to facilitate the day to day
movement of EMS personnel across state boundaries in the performance of their EMS duties as
assigned by an appropriate authority and authorize state EMS offices to afford immediate legal

a municipal code lien has been recorded with the office of the probate judge of the county
in which the real property lies, the Class 2 municipality may identify those properties on

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to

approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article
