Section 34-20-7 Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators - Authorization to receive
and expend funds; audit. The Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators is hereby authorized
to receive and expend, in carrying out the purposes of this chapter, all sums paid by applicants
and registrants as provided in this chapter, and all sums which might be appropriated for
such purposes, and are also authorized to receive and expend any funds available for such
purposes from the federal government. An annual financial audit shall be conducted of all
receipts and expenditures, and a written report of the audit shall be given to each board

Section 34-24-361 Investigations; reporting offenses; proceedings and actions; privileged information.
(a)(1) The State Board of Medical Examiners on its own motion may investigate any evidence
which appears to show that a physician or osteopath holding a certificate of qualification
to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama is or may be guilty of any of the
acts, offenses, or conditions set out in Section 34-24-360. As part of its investigation,
the board may require a criminal history background check of the physician or osteopath. In
such event, the physician or osteopath shall submit a complete set of fingerprints to the
State Board of Medical Examiners. The board shall submit the fingerprints provided by the

Section 34-5-13 Board of Barber Examiners. There is hereby created the Alabama Board of Barber
Examiners, to consist of five persons. Such board shall be appointed by the Governor of the
State of Alabama, one person appointed for the term of one year, one person for a term of
two years, one person for a term of three years, one person for a term of four years, and
one person for a term of five years and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
