Section 29-2A-2 Composition; terms; vacancies; meetings; rulemaking authority. (a) The commission shall be composed of the following members: (1) Three members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be a member of the minority party. (2) Three members of the Senate appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, one of whom shall be a member of the minority party. (3) Six members appointed by the Governor. (4) The Director of Finance, or his or her designee, who shall serve as a nonvoting member. (5) The Deputy Director of the Legislative Services Agency Fiscal Division, or his or her designee, who shall serve as a nonvoting member. Section 34-24-140 Board of Chiropractic Examiners - Creation; composition; powers and duties. (a) There is created and established a State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The board shall be composed of nine members. Eight members of the board shall be active licensed chiropractors elected as provided in this section.
