Section 27-54A-2 Treatment under certain policies and contracts. (a) As used in this section,
the following words have the following meanings: (1) APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS. The design,
implementation, and evaluation of environmental modifications, using behavioral stimuli and
consequences, to produce socially significant improvement in human behavior, including the
use of direct observation, measurement, and functional analysis of the relationship between
environment and behavior. (2) AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER. Any of the pervasive developmental
disorders or autism spectrum disorders as defined by the most recent edition of the Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) or the edition that was in effect at the
time of diagnosis. (3) BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT. Counseling and treatment programs, including
applied behavior analysis that are both of the following: a. Necessary to develop, maintain,
or restore, to the maximum extent practicable, the functioning of an...

or other major radial or circumferential street or highway designated by local authorities
within their respective jurisdictions as part of a major arterial system of streets or highways.
(3) AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLE. Such fire department vehicles, police vehicles, and ambulances
as are publicly owned, and such other publicly or privately owned vehicles as are designated
by the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency or the chief of police of an
incorporated city. (4) BICYCLE. Every device propelled by human power upon which any
person may ride, having two tandem wheels either of which is more than 14 inches in diameter.
(5) BUS. Every motor vehicle designed for carrying more than 10 passengers and used for the
transportation of persons; and every motor vehicle other than a taxicab, designed and used

Section 34-13-1 Definitions. (a) For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have

Section 40-12-290 Registration of vintage vehicle. (a) Subject to the requirements of subsections
(b), (c), (d) and (e), the owner of a motor vehicle which is herein defined as a "vintage
vehicle", upon application to the judge of probate or commissioner of licenses on special
application forms prescribed by the Commissioner of Revenue and the payment of a registration
fee of ten dollars ($10), may register the vehicle as a "vintage vehicle" and procure
therefor permanent license plates to be issued and displayed on the vehicle. (b) Beginning
October 1, 1996, the owner of a "vintage vehicle" which is owned and operated primarily
as a collector's item may, upon satisfying the requirements of this subsection, register the
