Section 34-29-79 Administrative hearing procedures. (a) When the board, by its official actions, acts or proposes to act in a manner which will affect the rights, duties, or privileges of the issuance of a license to an applicant or the license of a veterinarian, veterinary technician, or other individual, those persons shall have a right to an administrative hearing. When the board proposes to act in such manner, it shall give to the person or persons notice of their right to a hearing by certified mail to the person at his or her last known address, a notice of the proposed action, notice of a right to a hearing, and the time and place for a hearing, as provided in subsection (b). If the person or persons fail to appear at the time set for the hearing, the hearing may be conducted in absentia. Section 5-26-5 State license and registration application and issuance. (1) Application form. Applicants for a license shall apply in a form as prescribed by the supervisor. The fee requirements of this chapter shall apply to all polygraph examiners, including those employed by governmental agencies, and to those who engage in polygraph examinations on any commercial basis. (a) All licenses under this chapter shall be subject to renewal and shall expire unless renewed in the manner prescribed by the rules and regulations of the board upon the payment of a renewal fee. The distinctive license plates provided for by this division shall be prepared by the Commissioner of Revenue and shall be issued through the probate judge or license commissioner of the several counties of the state in like manner as are other motor vehicle license plates or tags, and, except as herein provided, such officers shall be entitled to their regular fees for such service.
