Section 45-6-242 Levy of taxes; exemptions; payment of taxes; reports by taxpayers; applicability of state sales tax statutes; disposition of funds. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases where used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "County" means Bullock County in the State of Alabama. (2) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Revenue of the state. (3) "State Department of Revenue" means the Department of Revenue of the state. (4) "State" means the State of Alabama. Every person who desires to practice pharmacy within this state shall file with the secretary of the board his or her written application for licensure upon forms furnished by the board not less than 10 days prior to his or her examination. (a) Any person before engaging in selling any alcoholic, spirituous, vinous, or fermented liquors in any county subject to this subpart shall file with the judge of probate, license commissioner, director of county department of revenue, or other public officer performing like duties in such counties a bond in the approximate sum of two times the average monthly tax estimated by such official which shall be due by the applicant.
