Section 34-11-9 Practice by firms. (a)(1) A firm that practices or offers to practice
engineering or land surveying is required to obtain a certificate of authorization from the
board in accordance with rules adopted by the board. (2) An entity that performs engineering
services or land surveying services for itself, or for a parent or subsidiary, is not required
to have a certificate of authorization. (3) A firm may not be relieved of responsibility for
the conduct or acts of its agents, employees, officers, or partners by reason of its compliance
with this section. An individual practicing engineering or land surveying under this
chapter is not relieved of responsibility for engineering or land surveying services performed
by reason of employment or other relationship with a firm holding a certificate of authorization.
(4) The Secretary of State may not accept organizational papers nor issue a certificate of
incorporation, organization, licensure, or authorization to any firm that...

Section 34-5A-2 License requirements. (a) The unlicensed practice of behavior analysis
is prohibited in this state, unless exempted in subsection (c). (b) No person shall hold himself
or herself out to be a licensed behavior analyst or licensed assistant behavior analyst unless

Section 34-24-193 Board of Physical Therapy - Powers and duties; certification fee;
administrative fines; impaired practitioner program. (a) It shall be the duty of the board
to pass upon the qualifications of applicants for licensing as physical therapists and licensing
as physical therapist assistants, to conduct examinations, to issue licenses and renewals
to physical therapists and physical therapist assistants qualifying under this article and
in a proper case to suspend or revoke the license of such persons. The board may adopt rules
and regulations not inconsistent with law as it may deem necessary for the performance of

Section 34-34A-3 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms

Section 34-40-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases
shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) APPRENTICE ATHLETIC TRAINER. A person who assists in the duties usually performed by an
athletic trainer and who works under the direct supervision of a licensed athletic trainer.
(2) ATHLETE. A person who participates in an athletic activity being conducted by an educational
institution, professional athletic organization, or a board sanctioned amateur athletic organization.

Section 41-8-5 Powers and duties of Public Library Service generally. (a) The Alabama
Public Library Service shall give advice to all free public, regional, municipal and county
libraries and to all communities in the state which may propose to establish public libraries,
in the manner provided in this article, as to the best means of establishing and administering

the scope of this chapter shall not exceed the requirements of Title IV of the Federal Toxic
