Section 34-4-51 Certificates of appointment to board; legal assistance; prosecution of complaints. Each member of the board shall receive a certificate of appointment from the Governor before entering upon the discharge of the duties of his or her office. The board, or any committee thereof, shall be entitled to the services of the state Attorney General, in connection with the affairs of the board, or may, on approval of the Attorney General, employ an attorney to assist or represent it in the enforcement of this chapter before any court of competent jurisdiction, and it may take the necessary legal steps through the proper legal officers of the state to enforce the provisions of this chapter and collect the penalties provided herein.
