Section 33-1-8 Board of directors. (a)(1) The port authority shall be governed by a board of directors, consisting of eight appointed members and one ex officio member. a. The Governor shall appoint eight members subject to confirmation by the Senate as follows: b. Section 34-37-3 Appointments to board; composition. The board members serving on January 1, 2011, shall continue to serve on the board until successor board members are appointed and qualified. Appointments shall be subject to confirmation by the Senate. Commencing on March 26, 2012, as the term of office of a member serving on the board expires, the member shall continue to serve on the board until a successor board member is appointed and qualified.
