Section 34-14-30 Creation; composition; compensation. (a) There is established a Board of Hearing Instrument Dealers which shall administer this chapter. (b) Members of the board shall be citizens and residents of the state and appointed by the Governor. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. The board shall consist of eight members as follows: Five licensees, one of whom may be a hearing aid specialist, one physician who specializes in diseases of the ear, one audiologist, and one consumer member. Section 34-19-14 State Board of Midwifery - Powers and duties; scope of licensed practice of midwifery. Section 34-21A-22 Complaint and regulation procedures. (a) The board shall establish procedures to process, review, and investigate reports and complaints of fraud, incompetence, misconduct, and dishonest or illegal acts of licensees in the performance of work covered under licenses of this board; and complaints supported by evidence shall be reviewed at a disciplinary hearing, which hearing shall be conducted in compliance with the provisions of the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act and held before the board. Section 8-7A-24 Party aggrieved by order entitled to hearing before commission; appeals from action of commission.
