Section 27-7-28 Nonresident agents or brokers - License generally. (a) Unless denied licensure
pursuant to Section 27-7-19, a nonresident person shall receive a nonresident producer license
if all of the following are satisfied: (1) The person has submitted or transmitted to the
commissioner a copy of the application for licensure that the person submitted to his or her
home state or, in lieu of the same, a completed Uniform Application. (2) The person has submitted
the proper request for licensure and has paid the fees required under Section 27-4-2. (3)
The person's home state awards nonresident producer licenses to residents of this state on
the same basis. (4) The person is currently licensed as a resident producer and is in good
standing in the state of his or her residence. (b) The commissioner may verify the producer's
licensing status through the database maintained by the NAIC, its affiliates or subsidiaries.

Section 34-13-120 License required; crematory requirements; application and inspection; records;
violations; rulemaking authority. (a) No person, firm, corporation, association, entity, or
funeral establishment, or branch thereof, may operate a crematory for the purpose of cremating
dead human bodies, unless licensed by the board as a funeral establishment and the crematory
being registered with the board and inspected by the board before any cremations of human
remains are performed. (b) A crematory shall satisfy all of the following requirements and
have the following minimum equipment, facilities, and personnel: (1) Registered with the board.

(a) The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners may refuse to grant a license or permit to any
applicant who is not of good moral character and reputation or has a history of narcotic addiction
or has previously been convicted of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude or has previously

Section 34-14A-5 Licenses required; exceptions; fees. (a) (1) All residential home builders
shall be required to be licensed by the Home Builders Licensure Board annually. The board

Section 34-22-5 Limited teaching licenses. The board may, under rules and regulations to be
promulgated by the board, issue limited licenses, in the case of teachers, to persons who
hold an optometric degree where such persons are not licensed and registered to practice optometry
in this state. The dean of any school of optometry within the State of Alabama which has been
approved by the board shall be required to annually certify to the board the names and addresses
of the members of the faculty of the school who are not licensed and registered to practice
optometry in the state and shall be required to promptly notify the board of any change in

Section 34-13-72 Qualifications of applicants; examination requirements; fee. (a) An applicant
for a funeral director's license is entitled to an examination if he or she satisfies all
of the following: (1) Is a citizen of the United States or legally present in this state.

Section 34-1A-7 Licenses - Required. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for
any person or business entity to engage in a business regulated by this chapter in this state
without a current valid license or in violation of this chapter and applicable rules and regulations
