Section 34-13-23 Officers; rulemaking authority; compensation; executive director; disposition
of funds. (a)(1) The board appointed under this chapter and each successor thereto is authorized
to select from its own membership a chair and to adopt and promulgate such rules and regulations
for the transaction of its business and for the betterment and promotion of the standards
of service and practice to be followed in the funeral service profession in the State of Alabama

Examiners may acquire and hold, in its own name, real property by purchase, gift, or other
lawful means, except eminent domain, which real property is used by the board to carry out

Section 5-17-10 Election of board of directors, credit committee, and supervisory committee.
At the annual meeting (the organization meeting shall be the first annual meeting), members
of the credit union shall elect a board of directors of not less than five members, may elect
a credit committee of not less than three members, and shall elect a supervisory committee
of not less than three members, all to hold office for such terms respectively as the bylaws
provide and until successors qualify. A record of the names and addresses of the members of
the board and committees and the officers shall be filed with the Administrator of the Alabama
